The WACA is running a Cricket Clinic in the School Holidays, Retravision Warriors will be amongst the coaching staff.

Ever wanted to play cricket and learn about the game from the best? The WACA is giving kids the opportunity to do just that in the upcoming school holidays!

The WACA School Holiday Cricket Clinics are for boys and girls aged six to 18 and will be held from Tuesday 30 September to Friday 3 October 2008 at the WACA Ground.


Retravision Warriors paceman Steve Magoffin will be one of a number of players from the Warriors and the Western Fury that will be on hand to pass on their knowledge and skills to participants. "The WACA School Holiday Cricket Clinics are going to be a wonderful way to kick off the 2008-09 summer of cricket," Magoffin said.

"It is a tremendous opportunity for boys and girls to learn the skills of the game from the state's leading cricketers and have loads of fun. "I'm looking forward to seeing you all there!"

The WACA School Holiday Cricket Clinics give kids the opportunity to receive
specialised coaching from WACA Coaching Staff and Cricket Officers.  The clinics have been designed to allocate 1 coach per 10 players, thus allowing each participant to receive comprehensive and informative direction from the Warriors/Fury Players and WACA Coaching Staff.

Participants also receive a WACA Showbag full of Warriors and Fury merchandise
including a T-shirt, cap and other promotional items.  Participants in the 12 - 18 year group will also receive DVD footage of their skills and performances through the sessions, this will also include a report from the WACA Coaches.

Age groups are split into two sessions, this being:
6 - 11 year age groups will be held each day from 9:30am to Midday ($250 for the 4 days)
12 - 18 year age groups will be held each day from 1:00pm to 4:00pm ($350 for the 4 days)

Bookings are essential and participants are urged to sign up early as places are
